The Critical Issues Foundation (CIF), in cooperation with Nature Restorer Inc. (NRI), are launching the huge undertaking to retrieve and recycle wastes from the Oceans of the world; focusing primarily on plastics wastes, and starting with the Pacific Gyre. This effort will be launched officially on the 20th of January, i.e. 01/20/2010; because the Founder of both the CIF and NRI believes deeply that - if we put our minds to the challenge at hand - humanity can achieve its main goal by 2020. What is OWRP? Since the initial main focus of this project is on recovering the plastics wastes, let me ask you: What do you really know about plastics? If you go to any grocery store and just look around and see how many products that you buy for every day needs are packaged in plastics. OWRP is an integrated holistic approach to educating, innovating, and recycling plastics wastes right at the end of use whether from the household or throughout the waste stream; including working with the waste hauler, MRFs, etc… |
